Through God’s amazing grace, I was able to spend a few quality minutes with my children last night at my middle child’s Cub Scout function.
My youngest immediately sat on my lap and began writing the alphabet on the palm of my hand. I was impressed (with bittersweet sadness) that he was able to recite several of the letters in succession.
By the time he decided he was done writing on my palm, I noticed that the mark he left formed a heart shape. I went to bed last night with an unwashed left hand close to my heart.
This morning, the heart shape was washed away from showering.
However, I had stared at my left palm throughout the day on several occasions, each time with a sense of burning feeling at the spot where the heart once was.
God, I miss them already…
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2Corinthians 4:18

So nice Noel and it WAS the amazing grace of God to give you such a blessing!
Incredible how your baby boy knows so many of his letters already!
Nothing short of a miracle that that heart shape was left on the palm of your hand.
Just to think Noel, there is a "heart" shaped print on Jesus's hands with our name on it and it will NEVER wash away, eh?
This has been one of your nicest postings!!
May the Lord continue to bless you.....From Terry
Hi Noel-
Your children are so lucky to have a father who loves them so much! While it may not seem like it now, even though you don't get to see your children very often, memories of things like you hanging out with your son that night will stay with him during the times you are apart.
Keep in mind that you, and your children, have a heavenly Father who loves you all. The Lord will watch over your children, and He will guide you too.

p.s. Thanks for your comment on my blog- it really made me think!
