I Turn to You

I turned the radio on to a rock station and as I listened to this song, all I could think of was Jesus. It's very uplifting. I know it's a pop song, but the words --- written on paper --- are simply inspiring. I found myself singing to Him:

When I'm lost, in the rain,
In your eyes I know I'll find the light, to light my way.
When I'm scared, losing ground
When my world is going crazy, you can turn it all around.
And when I'm down you're there pushing me to the top.
You're always there giving me all you've got.

When I lose the will to win,
I just reach to you and I can reach the sky again.
I can do anything,
'Cause your love is so amazing;
'Cause your love inspires me.
And when I need a friend, you're always on my side;
Giving me faith taking me through the night

For the arms to be my shelter through all the rain;
For truth that will never change;
For someone to lean on;
For a heart I can rely on through anything;
For that one whom I can run to.

For a shield from the storm
For a friend, for a love
To keep me safe and warm,
I turn to you.
For the strength to be strong;
For the will to carry on;
For everything you do;
For everything that's true,
I turn to you.

Dear Noel..I have been up for over an hour now, and after I read your posting [I ALWAYS come to your site first], I visited a few more blogs, thinking about you.

This IS a nice song and it is so wonderful how you have put the Lord into it and let it comfort you.

It just seems like you are living a day at a time in this heartache that you have been suffering for almost six months.

It is a sure thing that the Lord is helping you and that you have been so willing for Him to be doing so.

You are not becoming bitter but your heart is softening.

One of our preachers use to tell us that when the sun is beating upon the heart of a child of God here, that the Christian's heart is just like wax. The trials and the fire of the sun just softens his heart and almost melts it to the point where God can work with it and shape it as only His kind and caring fingers can.

The same sun beating upon the unsaved, hardens the heart like rock..and the ONLY way that God can work with a heart like that is to break it..

Your heart is soft Noel Lewis..May the Lord continue to shape it and do whatever He wants to do with it. ....From Terry.....Praying for you always!
